José Mourinho could be in big trouble after he was seen grabbing the opposing manager’s nose following Fenerbahce’s 2-1 defeat to Galatasaray in the Turkish Cup on Wednesday.

“The Special One” appeared to have a verbal dispute with Galatasaray boss Okan Buruk following the final whistle. Shortly after shaking hands with the referees, the two managers exchanged words.

Mourinho then followed Buruk and grabbed his nose. The 51-year-old Turkish manager then fell to the ground grabbing his face.

In a bizarre Manchester City season that continues to get weirder, the club’s mascot named Moonbeam accused Erling Haaland of assaulting her.

The woman who was in the Moonbeam costume told The Sun that the Norwegian striker hit her in the back of the head while she was in the costume. She also said the blow required hospital treatment due to a concussion and whiplash.

The incident took place in October when Manchester City hosted Southampton.

MADRID — The top court in Spain's Catalonia region on Friday overturned Brazilian soccer player Dani Alves' rape conviction, saying the case against him had inconsistencies and contradictions.

The 41-year-old defender was convicted last year of raping a woman in the restroom of a Barcelona nightclub in 2022 and sentenced to 4-1/2 years in prison.

Major League Soccer is reportedly considering ending its long-standing league-wide sponsorship deal with Adidas in 2030, signaling the potential end of a 26-year partnership between the American soccer league and the German sportswear giant.

Promotion and relegation is really happening. The United Soccer League (USL) announced on Wednesday it will be implementing a relegation system featuring three tiers by 2028 after a supermajority of club owners voted yes on the idea. 

This system won’t include Major League Soccer which has historically been opposed to the idea.

The 2026 World Cup final will feature its first ever halftime show, FIFA president Gianni Infantino said on Wednesday.

FIFA will be working with international education and advocacy organization Global Citizen as well as British band Coldplay for the halftime show.
