A player in Thailand learned the hard way that celebrating too early can lead to catastrophic results. And by catastrophic we mean hilarious.
A video from a 7-on-7 game in Thailand has gone viral after a player started celebrating a goal before the ball had gone into the net. The youngster shot on what he thought was an open goal and began doing a multi-part celebration toward his team’s bench.
What he failed to notice was that an opposing defender courageously cleared the shot attempt off the line.

What makes the clip even funnier is that the attacker had a chance to score after the clearance but was too busy doing his celebration routine to notice where the ball was.
Judging from the reactions it’s safe to guess that his team was already leading 5-0 which explains his lack of urgency and awareness.
Let this video be a reminder to all you youngsters out there that goal-line technology doesn’t exist for your games so don’t celebrate until you’ve seen that ball hit the back of the net.
