Jude Bellingham header saves England in lackluster performance against Serbia

Bellingham continues to shine as England continue to disappoint.

England obtained their first three points of Euro 2024 this Sunday after defeating Serbia to position themselves as leaders of Group C.

Bellingham goal vs. Serbia

Jude Bellingham scored the only goal of the game via a bullet header at the edge of the six-yard box, continuing to cement the 20-year-old as a strong contender for the 2024 Ballon d’Or.

This was Bellingham’s 25th goal for club and country this season.

Despite the early goal and the Three Lions being the clear favorites to take the victory, a reluctant England in the attack in the second half saw Serbia with their own chances to hit the back of the net. Jordan Pickford kept England from conceding a late equalizer in the closing minutes of the game.

Harry Kane, held to only one shot in the game, was close to doubling England's lead with a header stopped by Serbia's Predrag Rajković.

The squad managed by Gareth Southgate will prepare their upcoming match against Denmark next Thursday as solitary group-leaders, with Denmark and Slovenia tied for second place with one point.
