Soccer doesn't need to be NFL-ized, but UEFA keeps trying to do it by announcing once again a musical show for the Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter on June 10.

Following the steps of Black Eyed Peas, Dua Lipa, Marshmello and booed Camila Cabello, UEFA said that Brazilian singer Anitta and Nigerian artist Burna Boy will co-headline the Kick Off Show by Pepsi for the 2022-23 edition.

Who is singing in the Champions League final?

In case you don't know them, here are a few pointers about Anitta and Burna Boy.

Anitta, a.k.a. The Girl from Rio, is one of the most popular singers coming from Brazil in the last decades. She is uber famous at home and is gradually becoming a global sensation, doing collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Madonna and J Balvin.

"Envolver" is her biggest hit and rakes in over half a billion plays on Spotify.

"I'm delighted to be performing at the UEFA Champions League Final.. and I can't wait to co-headline alongside Burna Boy. We're going to bring an unmissable show to fans in the stadium and around the world," Anitta said after the announcement.

Grammy-award winner Burna Boy will bring a dose of afro-beats, reggae and dancehall to the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul.

Known for his hits "Last last" and "It's plenty," the Nigerian artist expressed how he feels about the upcoming performance.

"As a huge football fan myself, I know it doesn't get any bigger than the UEFA Champions League! That's why I'm so excited," he said. "Music and football are the ultimate combination, so you already know I'll be bringing the vibes and making magic in Istanbul."
