The U.S. men’s national team is not slowing down their hunt for a new coach and has contacted American and current TSG 1899 Hoffenheim manager Pellegrino Matarazzo about the possibility of taking the United States’ vacant head coach position, according to multiple reports.

Argentinian midfielder Angel Di Maria said death threats against his family in Rosario had forced him to change his mind about returning to his boyhood club Rosario Central.

Di Maria was targeted in what Argentine authorities have previously described as an attempted display of power by criminal organizations in Rosario, which has seen an increase in drug and gang related violence.

Former U.S. men’s national team manager Gregg Berhalter is bound take a break from international soccer and is likely to return to the club scene after six years with the USMNT, with fans speculating where the American coach will end up this summer. Thirteen-year-old McKenna Whitham signed a professional contract with the NJ/NY Gotham FC on Friday, making her the youngest player in NWSL history.

Whitham, who turns 14 on Saturday, reportedly signed a guaranteed contract that becomes effective Jan. 1, 2025, and runs through 2028. She also signed a signed a national team replacement player contract, which makes her available to play in upcoming NWSL x Liga MX Summer Cup matches.

Maximilian Ibrahimovic, son of the famous and retired legend Zlatan, has signed his first professional contract at the age of 17. He’s signed with his father’s previous club, AC Milan.

Maximilian has been playing with Milan’s youth sides. Last season he featured for the club’s U18 team making 29 appearances and scoring three goals. He primarily plays at left wing.

Reus departed Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season after 12 years with the German giants. Now the 35-year-old seems to have his eyes set on the final chapter of his career with California being a likely destination.
