Most commonly, the domain of Turkish stadia has been said to bear an uncanny resemblance to playing in hell for visitors. From your greeting at the airport to your sleepless night in the team hotel, you finally arrive inside a cauldron of noise like Besiktas’ Vodafone Park and encounter scenes that last from the first minute until the 90th.  

A 7.1-magnitude earthquake shook Mexico City Tuesday. Reports of several collapsed buildings around the city have been confirmed by the authorities, and the Copa MX Round of 16 match between Club América and Cruz Azul scheduled for Tuesday night at the Estadio Azteca was postponed.

The final match in the U.S. Men’s National Team’s quest for a World Cup berth will be played in a 10,000-seat stadium. Trinidad & Tobago announced Friday it would host the Americans at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva instead of the nation’s normal ground in Port of Spain. The match will be played Oct. 10. 

As more and more money is spent on football, stadiums become more and more complex. Tottenham Hotspurs' new venue will be the latest in a long line of transforming soccer stadiums, as the club showed off in a video on Thursday.

Tottenham wants its new stadium to be the go-to venue for NFL games played in London. The designers of the stadium have come up with a way to maintain a Premier League-quality grass surface while still supporting American football games.
