Watch: USL side Rhode Island show how to execute an indirect free kick perfectly

Indirect free kicks in the penalty box don’t happen often, but when they do it always makes for a spectacle. An indirect free kick goal from Rhode Island FC in the USL Championship on Friday is the exact chaos we love to see.

In the 89th minute Rhode Island trailed 2-0 to Phoenix Rising but had a late opportunity to give the crowd something to cheer about with an indirect free kick from roughly 12 yards out.

Phoenix created a wall of nearly the entire team spread out in front of goal, but Rhode Island were clever enough to produce this piece of magic.

The Bernardo Silva penalty vs Real Madrid during Manchester City’s shootout defeat in Wednesday's Champions League quarterfinal was one of the most discussed points of the game.

After a brilliant game that ended 1-1 (4-4 on aggregate) it went to a penalty shootout. Silva stepped up to take City’s second penalty and stunned fans when he shot it right up the middle into the grateful hands of Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin.

Silva received hefty criticism online for his penalty.

What if we told you, it wasn’t a bad kick but instead a genius bit of goalkeeping?

Pulisic made an early impact in his new position opening the scoring in the sixth minute with a classy finish from the top of the box.

Hey Nottingham Forest, Thursday’s USMNT game is why you need to play Gio Reyna

Thursday night’s United States men’s national team 3-1 victory vs. Jamaica in the Concacaf Nations League semifinals was about as ugly as it gets. There are still some positives to be pulled for the game like the performance of Gio Reyna.

Were you watching Nottingham Forest??

Reyna is on loan from Borussia Dortmund to Forest until this summer and it’s been a nightmare move for the 21-year-old.
