Only two minutes in, Kylian Mbappé punished Simon Mignolet for struggling with an effort at his near post, although the 22-year-old Frenchman's finish was ice cold.

PARIS — Lionel Messi scored his first Ligue 1 goal as Paris Saint-Germain opened a 13-point lead in Ligue 1 despite playing almost half an hour with 10 men in a 3-1 home win against Nantes on Saturday.

Messi found the back of the net with a curled left-footed effort from outside the box three minutes from time, adding to Dennis Appiah's own goal after Randal Kolo Muani had cancelled out Kylian Mbappe's first-half opener.

Paris Saint-Germain women's midfielder Aminata Diallo has been released from police custody following an attack on one of the club's players last week, the French side said on Thursday.

PSG said on Wednesday that Diallo had been taken into custody by the Versailles Regional Police Service as part of the proceedings opened following the alleged assault.
