There are 334 NCAA Division I women’s soccer programs in the United States and they are all eligible to qualify for the annual NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament (College Cup), meaning that about 8,300 women’s soccer student-athletes across the nation are fighting to help their team be declared the best program in the nation. 

The tournament selection process allows for 64 teams in the field, comprised of 28 conference tournament winners, three regular season conference champions and 33 at-large bids.

With Decision Day behind us, it’s time for the 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs! Actually, we’ve got to make it through an international break, but then — it’s time for the 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs! It’s our first taste of the newfangled MLS playoff schedule, with the top seven teams from each conference battling it out in single-elimination matches. Play begins on Saturday, Oct. 19, and concludes with MLS Cup 2019 on Sunday, Nov. 10.

The final day of the MLS regular season — dubbed “Decision Day” — is less than two weeks away (Sunday, Oct. 6). The picture in the Eastern Conference is clear with six of the seven playoff spots already decided, but the Wild West is only settled with regards to the top seed, Los Angeles FC.

108 days after Liverpool lifted the Champions League trophy in Madrid, we’re set to do it all over again with a competition that’ll reach its conclusion on May 30 in Istanbul. Matchday one begins tomorrow (Tuesday, Sept. 17) with a couple massive group stage encounters before carrying through to Wednesday with a couple more.

It’s getting serious. FIFA 20 is set to drop in just over two weeks (Sept. 24) and we’ll soon get our hands on the demo (rumored for Sept. 12). In the mean time, FIFA is set to reveal the ratings of the game’s top 100 rated players tomorrow. They’ve revealed the 100 players over on EA.com, but they haven’t revealed any of their stats yet.

The European transfer window slammed shut yesterday with Paris Saint-Germain at the center of everything. Neymar, reportedly the subject of three different bids from Barcelona, is staying put for another season, and the club further strengthened its ambitions by adding three-time Champions League-winner Keylor Navas from Real Madrid for $14.3 million and Mauro Icardi from Inter Milan on a season-long loan. PSG could sign the striker permanently next summer for a total of $76.8 million.
