Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal):

With Manchester United hosting Liverpool this weekend, there’s some risk going with those clubs’ attacking players. Not so with Arsenal and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

"That's the reality now" — Mikel Arteta reacts to Manchester City's lead in the title-race after Arsenal loss

LONDON, April 14 (Reuters) - Arsenal's Premier League title destiny was wrenched out of their own hands as they lost 2-0 at home to Aston Villa on Sunday but manager Mikel Arteta said how they react will be crucial.

A first loss in 12 league games brought back horrible memories of last season when Arsenal collapsed under the relentless pressure of Manchester City.

Liverpool throw themselves out of Premier League title race after back-to-back losses at Anfield

Liverpool's quest for a Premier League title in manager Jürgen Klopp's final season with the team suffered a huge blow with a 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace at Anfield on Sunday that left them third in the table.

Eberechi Eze scored in the 14th minute to stun the Anfield faithful in the third consecutive disappointing result for Liverpool. Klopp's men are even on 71 points with second-placed Arsenal, who were playing later on Sunday, and two behind provisional leaders Manchester City.

Fail of the season! Burnley goalkeeper Arijanet Muric allows unthinkable own goal

A great philosopher once uttered the phrase, “everybody makes mistakes, everybody has those days.” That quote was never more true for Burnley goalkeeper Arijanet Muric than it was during Saturday’s 1-1 draw vs. Brighton.

Burnley, who are in desperate need of points to avoid relegation, looked set to grab a much-needed victory after taking a 1-0 lead in the 74th minute at home against Brighton.

Watch: Gio Reyna bags assist in his first Premier League start

United States men’s national team fans were thrilled to see that Gio Reyna was given his first start with Nottingham Forest on Saturday for their 2-2 draw vs. Wolves. The American took advantage of the opportunity with a solid outing and supplied an assist.

Saturday’s start with Forest was just his third for a club all season (he’d been given two starts with Borussia Dortmund prior to his winter loan move). The last time Reyna found himself in a starting XI at the club level was Nov. 1 in the DFB-Pokal vs. Hoffenheim.

Watch: Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz in tears after being surprised with EPL Player of the Month award

Fulham forward Rodrigo Muniz had a heartwarming moment on Friday when he was surprised with the Premier League’s Player of the Month (POTM) award.

The 22-year-old Brazilian thought he was doing a normal pre-game interview in front of the cameras ahead of their league meeting with West Ham on Sunday. Little did he know that his fellow Brazilian teammates Willian and Andreas Pereira were sneaking up on him with a surprise.

Kane returns to haunt Arsenal as Bayern Munich earn 2-2 draw

LONDON – Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane returned to north London to score his customary goal against Arsenal as the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie ended 2-2 on Tuesday.

The former Tottenham Hotspur player, so often Arsenal's nemesis in north London derbies, stroked home a penalty in the 32nd minute as the Bundesliga side hit back to lead 2-1.

Premier League leaders Arsenal, playing in their first Champions League quarter-final for 14 years, had gone in front early on with a clinical Bukayo Saka strike.

AGAIN!? — Everton docked two more points for second breach of financial rules

LONDON, April 8 (Reuters) - Everton were docked two more points by the Premier League on Monday (their second points deduction this season) after an independent commission found they had breached the league's Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

The deduction, announced in a Premier League statement, means Everton dropped to 16th place with 27 points, two above the relegation zone.

Liverpool fall behind in title race after two outrageous Manchester United comeback goals

Old Trafford just gave us another Premier League classic.

Manchester United and Liverpool faced off this Sunday in what was the most anticipated Premier League match of the weekend.

League-leaders Liverpool came into the matchup trying to maintain their lead above Arsenal and Manchester City in title race, having only two points of advantage over the Gunners and three over the Citizens. And they were able to execute the plan right away.

Kevin De Bruyne reaches 100 goals with City and scores ridiculous screamer vs. Crystal Palace

LONDON — Kevin De Bruyne struck twice to inspire Manchester City to a dominant 4-2 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday and move the champions level on points with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table.

Stunned by conceding an early goal scored by Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta, De Bruyne equalized with a superb shot and after second-half goals by Rico Lewis and Erling Haaland the Belgian midfielder added his second.
