Orlando Pride set women’s transfer record with $1.5 million signing of Lizbeth Ovalle

Orlando Pride have signed winger Lizbeth Ovalle from Liga MX club Tigres Femenil for a women's world-record transfer fee, the National Women's Soccer League club said on Thursday.

Ovalle joined for $1.5 million, according to U.S. media reports, signing a two-year deal with an option to extend until 2028.

NWSL admits that game shouldn’t have continued after Angel City’s Savy King collapsed

The National Women's Soccer League acknowledged Friday that last weekend's match should have ended after a player collapsed on the field.

Play resumed on May 9 after about 10 minutes of medical attention for Angel City FC defender Savy King, who fell to the ground in the 74th minute and was taken away on a cart following life-saving measures.

The Houston Dash acquired two-time NWSL champion forward Yazmeen Ryan from NJ/NY Gotham FC on Friday.

The Dash also received $80,000 in intra-league transfer funds for 2025 in exchange for $400,000 in allocation money and a 2025 international roster slot.
