Fans Of Chicharito Flock To A Meet-And-Greet With The Mexican Star In Leverkusen

Chicharito fanboys and fangirls flocked to a recent meet-and-greet event in Leverkusen to get up close and personal with the Mexican striker.

Chicharito flashed his famous smile and was extremely personable and charismatic with his supporters, signing autographs and posing for photographs.

The effort was clearly appreciated by fans who’d come as far as Puebla, Mexico to see their hero.

Chicharito scored 17 goals in 28 Bundesliga appearances for Bayer Leverkusen last season, and the El Tri international is targeting even more this campaign.

The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict Threatens To Boil Over In The Champions League

As Celtic prepare to play Israeli side Hapoel Be’er Sheva at Celtic Park in UEFA Champions League playoff action on Wednesday night, some of the club’s supporters plan to give the visitors a rather awkward welcome — by waving the flag of Palestine.

Napoli Fans Made Fat Gonzalo Higuain Mannequins Because They Are Salty

Napoli fans are apocalyptically salty that Gonzalo Higuain has left them for presumptive 2016-2017 Serie A champions Juventus, and they have not been shy in showing just how salty they are. Look at what they did to these mannequins with Higuain jerseys on.

This Guy Wanted To Meet Messi. Security Had Other Plans

This is a public service announcement: do not attempt to hug Lionel Messi. It will go poorly for you.

Especially don't attempt to hug Lionel Messi by jumping a barrier and landing at the entrance to the stadium tunnel.

Argentina Final Disintegrates Into Massive Brawl

When it rains, it pours. It's definitely pouring on Argentine soccer right now. First, the Copa America Centenario loss. Then, the loss of captain Lionel Messi. Now, a bunch of grown men acting like insufferable fools.

All hell broke loose after Bella Vista won Argentina’s Lega del Sur Apertura final against Tiro Federal. Kicks were aimed at faces, adults sprinted after one another and a couple of riot guards stood around with their shields lazily held at their sides.

We Need To Talk About Newcastle United, The Best Team In England

The prevailing wisdom is to never look too far into preseason matches, but when those matches are repeatedly beating you over the head with the obvious, you should probably take notice.

Last year, under the guidance of Steve McClaren, Newcastle recorded just two victories in seven matches. They were defeated by Club Atlas, the Portland Timbers reserve squad and League Two side York City F.C.

That disastrous preseason form led to an opening run of eight Premier League games without a victory. In hindsight, the club was doomed for relegation as early as October 3rd.

This Club Lied To Fans About A Raffle And Then Tried To Cover It Up

We here at The18 love a good conspiracy theory. We especially love it when conspiracy theories turn out to be grounded in truth, as is apparently the case with a Chesterfield FC fan promotion that went awry.

Note: please read the below thread while listening to this song. It will set the mood.

The Portland Timbers Have The Strongest Tifo Game In The World

It should come as no surprise that a city characterized by passionate support, the Portland Timbers have sold out every home match since joining MLS, and fabled urban planning dating back as far as 1903 should boast some of the finest tifo displays in the world.

This Final Viking Clap For The Returning Iceland Team Will Make You Feel All The Feels

Thousands of fans showed up to show to see the national team of Iceland return home to Reykjavik, and to show their appreciation.

If there was one story that everyone got behind at this year's European Championships, it was this unbelievable tale of a small island nation of 325,000 people that threatened to upset everybody.

Iceland's story proved that hard work and an emphasis on grassroots-development can be successful, no matter how limited the resources nor how small the talent pool.

England Are The Dallas Cowboys Of International Football. Overhyped And Bound To Disappoint.

This past Monday marked another disappointing loss for the England National Football Team as they fell to Iceland in the round of 16 in UEFA Euro 2016.  For fans of England soccer, this is going to be a hard pill to swallow for years to come. However, when you look at the recent history of the club, it may be time to lower expectations a bit. Perhaps England's so-called "early exits" aren't as disappointing or unexpected as fans make them seem.
