Joey Barton Is At It Again With 44 Illegal Bets In Six Weeks

Do me a favor, try to remember the last time you heard a Joey Barton story that was about his performance. You probably can’t because despite his long, above average career, he has gotten into trouble almost as often as he has scored goals; sometimes even managing to get into trouble when he was already under scrutiny for something else.

The Latest FIFA 17 Glitches Make For Delightful Nightmares

GameSprout have released a “FIFA 17 FAIL Compilation” through their YouTube channel and it’s equal parts hilarious and terrifying. Whether its some not-so-subtle physical innuendo between the players, some terrifying bodily mishaps and transformations or the rendering of objects where they’re not supposed to be, the release of FIFA 17 has provided us with some fascinating in-game moments.

Barca’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen Tried To Single-Handedly Kill Tiki-Taka

Barcelona missed a chance to climb to the top of the La Liga table with a shock 4-3 defeat to Celta Vigo on Sunday. With Celta Vigo in the bottom half of the table, a Barcelona squad without the injured Lionel Messi was still expected to emerge with three points in Galicia.

However, notable mistakes from goalkeeper Marc-Andre ted Stegen, defender Jeremy Mathieu and midfielder Sergio Busquets essentially handed the victory to the home side.

He Takes It Around The Keeper And D’OH

The Lithuanian I Lyga threw up this shocker yesterday, Kaunas’ Karolis Gvildys taking the ball beyond the opposition goalkeeper and presenting himself with an open net.

He’s just gotta tap it in. Just tap it in. Give it a little tappy. Tap tap taparoo.

The technique he employs shows he’s thinking much the same thing. A little side-footer, Gvildys is just going to pass this one in. But he’s not.

The ball unfortunately clanks off the far post, leaving Gvildys one giant walking personification of shame.

Kaunas would lose the match 1-0. D’oh.

Gervinho Stomped The Bejeezus Out Of A Dude

We really don't know much about Gervinho's time in China thus far, but if this video is any indication, it's not gone well.

The former Arsenal and Roma player, who may or may not have once demanded a helicopter as part of a transfer deal, got a little, uh, overexuberant during a challenge and stomped the bejeezus out of an opponent.
