A strange Hulk yellow card in the Copa Sudamericana left fans and the Brazilian great baffled on Thursday.

The Round of 32 match between Hulk’s Atlético Mineiro and Colombia’s Atlético Bucaramanga went to a penalty shootout. Shortly before the penalties began the cameras showed Hulk having a conversation with Uruguayan referee Esteban Ostojich.

Hulk and the referee appeared to be getting along just fine with the two exchanging smiles, a laugh and even a handshake. As the 39-year-old prepared to walk to his team, the referee booked him.
