Watch: Ally Sentnor’s first USWNT goal might be the best goal we’ll see all year

The United States women’s national team opened their 2025 SheBelieves Cup campaign with a 2-0 victory against Colombia on Thursday at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Ally Sentnor goal vs Colombia to double the lead was the big highlight of the match as the Utah Royals youngster scored with a phenomenal strike.

In the 60th minute the 21-year-old received the ball in Colombia’s final third and quickly torched two defenders before launching a rocket from 25 yards that left the goalkeeper with no chance.

What. A. Strike.

Thursday’s game was Sentnor’s third appearance for the USWNT and her first start. Head coach Emma Hayes is using the 2025 SheBelieves Cup to give fresh faces a chance to prove themselves. Needless to say, Sentnor did just that.

The USWNT’s first goal came courtesy of Catarina Macario who is finally back after injuries, including a torn ACL, had limited her to two caps in 2023 and 2024. She also missed the Olympics due to a right knee injury.

Macario scored her first national team goal in nearly three years to cap off a beautiful move from the U.S. that included a pinpoint pass from 17-year-old Lily Yohannes.

Cat is back.

The USWNT will be looking to win their sixth-straight SheBelieves Cup and will face Australia next on Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
