Cristiano Ronaldo scores his 500th league goal after netting FOUR for Al Nassr

Cristiano Ronaldo ran riot on Thursday as he hit a career landmark of 500 league goals and scored all four of Al Nassr's during their 4-0 victory vs. Al-Wehda.

Many soccer fans expected Ronaldo to become a goal-scoring machine in Saudi Arabia. His first three games didn’t back that expectation up with only one goal, a penalty kick, in his first 270 minutes with Al Nassr.

He made up for the slow start by scoring four goals in a single game for the first time since Portugal’s Euro qualifier vs. Lithuania on Sep. 10, 2019.

Let’s skip to the good part and look at those goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo goals vs. Al-Wehda

His first goal came in the 21st minute when he tucked the ball into the bottom right corner. You would’ve never known that this was an away game for Ronaldo and Al Nassr with the reaction to his first goal.

This marked the 500th league goal for Ronaldo in his career.

CR7’s second goal of the game came after a beautiful backheel from Saudi international Abdulrahman Ghareeb in the build-up. With Ronaldo in on goal he snuck the ball between the keeper’s legs to double the lead before the half.

Early in the second half an Al-Wehda handball in the area gave Al Nassr a penalty kick which Ronaldo scored to claim his first hat trick in Saudi Arabia.

He made it four goals for himself in the 61st minute when his initial shot was blocked by the goalkeeper, but he pounced on the rebound.

Ronaldo might have been able to score a fifth goal in the 90th minute. Rather than taking a shot he tried to set up Ghareeb for a goal, but the pass got away from him.

The victory sees Al Nassr stay top of the Saudi Pro League table tied with Al-Shabab on 37 points.
