New day, same Paramount+ BS as audio for Canada-Panama game way out of sync

Paramount+ has been broadcasting soccer for years now and still can’t figure it out. CBS has some of the most entertaining pundits on television with Kate Abdo, Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, Micah Richards, Clint Dempsey, Maurice Edu and many more amazing personalities.

Despite the star power, too often fans must deal with a litany of issues watching games on Paramount+. The latest chapter of the shit-stream was on Thursday during the Concacaf Nations League game between Canada and Panama.

Fans who tuned into the game at kickoff were greeted with play-by-play announcer Adrian Marquez sounding like he was talking to us through an awful discord connection. He sounded like a robot while Charlie Davies’ microphone was far too quiet.

The sound level and robot imitations were fixed after about 10 minutes of gameplay, but there was a much larger issue at hand.

The audio of the game and commentators was a full five seconds ahead. Imagine going to a movie you’ve been dying to see and the person next to you spoils every scene moments before they happen.

This sucks.

Paramount audio issues for Canada vs. Panama game

The worst moment of the audio issues came in the 25th minute when Jonathan David put Canada up 1-0. Nothing like hearing Marquez yell “GOAAAALL!!!” and then waiting five seconds to actually watch the ball go in.

Those monsters at CBS fixed the audio for the highlight they tweeted as if there was no problem at all. How about you fix your stream first??

Fans were vocal on Twitter to air their displeasure about the streaming quality. This isn’t worth my $9.99 a month.

If anyone needs me, I’ll be watching the second half of Canada vs. Panama and the USA vs. Mexico game on TUDN.

Don’t be sorry CBS, be better.

Live update: The audio is out of sync on Univision AND TUDN too. We just can't win.
