Musical artist and rapper Jay Z has announced the signing of the first European footballer to his own sports agency label called Roc Nation Sports. German defender Jerome Boateng joins current American sport giants like Kevin Durant, CC Sabathia, and Dez Bryant with the Roc Nation group.

Boateng is the first soccer player to sign with the agency after visiting New York this past Monday. The Bayern Munich regular has gone without an agent in previous years mainly because of a wage dispute with an old agent who took him to court.
This could be the beginning of more soccer players from around the world joining American agencies with the increasing popularity of the sport. Jay Z has been spotted around Europe with ex-Manchester United wonder kid David Beckham.
