Shoplifters have probably the easiest job in the robbery business, and judging by the age of the kid in this next video, this is probably true to an even higher degree. This kid can’t be more than 14 years old. He was probably trying to steal a Snickers; the debt to society he owed would have been worth its weight in hunger and post-satisfaction self-loathing. Of course, that didn’t stop things from going terribly wrong for the kid. The last thing this kid expected was to be the subject of a headline reading “SOCCER PLAYER STOPS THIEF,” but that’s exactly what happened…on the internet at least.
Holy s***, that kid got taken out HARD.
Maybe that kid stole something more valuable than a Snickers. Maybe the headline shouldn’t have read “SOCCER PLAYER STOPS THIEF.” Maybe it should have been “Soccer Player Ends Snickers Crime Spree.” I mean, from the looks of that tackle this kid seriously might have stolen hundreds — no, THOUSANDS of Snickers. Why else would he be terminated with such extreme prejudice?
Sadly, after some quick internet digging (even with a foray into Reddit) we were able to find no real proof that the man involved is actually a real soccer player. Nor do we know what the kid he tackled stole. All we know is that if the professional soccer leagues of the world were to all go simultaneously defunct, and there was ever a large patch of linoleum floor that needed protecting, that patch of linoleum floor just might end up being the safest place on earth under that guard of — oh I don’t know — Thiago Silva and Jerome Boateng.
