We are on record as saying Liga MX is by and large the most entertaining soccer league in the world, and there is no game in Liga MX that is more entertaining than El Super Clasico between Mexico's two traditional powers, Club America and Chivas de Guadalajara.
Although Chivas isn't playing like a traditional power at the moment, you never know what's going to happen when these two meet. Sunday's contest was no exception.
America won this round 2-1, but the game packed more action into 90 minutes than some teams see in several matches (we were going to say a season because that flows better, but that would just be untrue).
El Super Clasico Goals
America went 2-0 up and it looked bleak for Chivas, especially after Carlos Cisneros did this.

Yes those fans are throwing beer at the players. We can think of better uses for beer, but this is at least quality entertainment.
Things took a turn in Chivas' direction when Paolo Goltz did this.
That was followed, a few minutes later, by Chivas' lone goal in the contest. Chivas then had 17 minutes of regular time, plus seven (seven!) minutes of extra time to score. The couldn't pull it off, but anyone who counts themselves as a fan of either side and wasn't breathing through a paper bag there at the end isn't really a true fan.
With that, we await the next El Super Clasico, may it be even more lit than this one was.
