If you think own goals belong solely to the soccer field, you have never shot a refrigerator full of Tannerite.

If you are a soccer fan, you probably have seen many own goals. Spectacular own goals. Hilarious own goals. Crushing own goals. However, I bet you didn't know own goals occur outside the world of sport all the time. Real-life own goals can be just as spectacular and hilarious and crushing as their soccer counterparts, and in many cases much more dangerous.

Take this video of a man shooting a refrigerator full of Tannerite with a high-powered rifle, for instance. Tannerite is an explosive compound used as an incendiary target for firearms. This man and/or his friends filled a refrigerator chock full of the stuff. Then he shot the refrigerator, and scored a real-life own goal. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

This is like that own goal Real Madrid scored on themselves against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, but in real life.
