Fifth Division Lincoln City Have Made History By Advancing To The FA Cup Quarterfinals

Burnley’s Turf Moor was witness to one of the most spectacular achievements in the 146-year history of the FA Cup — Lincoln City, a non-league side in England’s fifth division, have advanced to the FA Cup quarterfinals, an achievement that hasn’t been accomplished since 1914.

Lincoln City defeated semi-professional club Altrincham in the first round, then shocked League One side Oldham Athletic in the second, continued the miracle against Championship club Ipswich Town, did it again against Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion and they’ve now claimed their biggest scalp of the competition, the Premier League’s Burnley FC.

Their 89th minute winner in front of their own supporters in the away end was simply sensational.

Lincoln City, the Imps, are one victory away from Wembley. This is their badge. This is incredible.
