Chicharito Says He Still Talks To Sir Alex Ferguson

Bayer Leverkusen and Mexico striker Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez's departure from his previous club Manchester United was, um, acrimonious.

Current United manager Louis van Gaal clearly didn't want Hernandez in the squad and told him there was very little chance of him playing striker for United. Hernendez was sent to Germany, where he has lit the world on fire (23 goals so far this season in all competitions).

Luckily for Hernandez, there is still one person at Manchester United in his corner: the manager who bought him from Chivas and gave him his start, the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.

Chicharito Still Talks To Sir Alex Ferguson

"I keep in touch. When we played in the Champions League before the Atletico Madrid game we texted. I saw him two games before, we have a lot of contact. When I was going to Real Madrid on loan I spoke to him in person. I went to his house and we spoke very well, Hernandez said. "We keep in contact as good as we can. He has a lot of things to do with his family, that's why he retired."

If Alex Ferguson still thinks Chicharito is a good player, what excuse do the rest of United's front office have?
