There can be zero question over the value of MLS Season Pass on Apple TV now. Lionel Messi's arrival at Inter Miami turned the streaming service into the hottest thing since the first guy to open a sandwich shop, and it certainly doesn't hurt when you also get to see Sergio Busquets apply tennis ball-like spin to his entry passes in 1080p. Oh, Jordi Alba's here too.
So when does Messi play again? Messi next match for Miami is part of a string of fixtures coming in hot for the Herons as they fight on three fronts: Leagues Cup, U.S. Open Cup and MLS.
If you're looking for Messi on broadcast TV in the USA, the only one planned for now is Inter Miami vs. Orlando City on Sunday, Sept. 1. That'll be aired on FS1. Everything else is on MLS Season Pass, although the U.S. Open Cup (where Miami's in the semifinals) is property of CBS Sports.
We'll be treated to three massive spectacles with the visit of Messi expected to fill Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (71,000), Soldier Field in Chicago (61,500) and Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte (74,867).
Up the Herons.
