Chelsea players roasted with sign by one of their own young fans after losing 5-0 to Arsenal

A young Chelsea fan sign summed up the Blues’ horrid 5-0 defeat to Arsenal on Tuesday better than any punditry ever could.

Arsenal completely outclassed their London rivals who were without their star boy Cole Palmer due to illness. The first half was tightly contested and ended 1-0 in Arsenal’s favor.

The floodgates opened in the second half with the Gunners finding the net four times in the span of 18 minutes. One young Blues fan had seen enough and was shown on camera asking the players for more effort.

Ouch.

Young fans making posters asking players for shirts has become a popular trend over the past couple years. Kids will make some crappy looking sign begging for a sweaty T-shirt.

This young Chelsea fan flipped the script on Tuesday’s lackluster losers and informed the players they need to fight for the fans and the jerseys that the supporters wear.

NBC commentators Peter Drury and Graeme La Saux said that a photo of that child holding the poster should be put on every locker in Chelsea’s dressing room.

In fairness to the Chelsea players, they entered Tuesday's game unbeaten in their previous eight Premier League games. Still, Saturday’s FA Cup semifinal defeat to Manchester City ensured another trophyless season for the Blues.

Arsenal will still be looking to lift the league title as the 5-0 victory momentarily puts them top of the league three points above Liverpool who have a game in hand and four points above City who have two games in hand.

The Gunners’ goals came courtesy of an early Leandro Trossard effort and then braces from Kai Havertz and Ben White.
