USWNT Beats France In Second Olympic Game

Carli Lloyd scored her second goal in two Olympic matches, and the USWNT saw off a tough challenge from a physical France side.

The USWNT has made it through their toughest game (on paper) of the group stage at the Olympics unscathed, beating the third-ranked team in the world, France, 1-0.

The goal, if you haven't already heard, came from USA co-captain and destroyer of worlds Carli Lloyd, who pounced on the rebound from a Tobin Heath shot that came off the post.

The rest of the world better be on high alert for Carlo Lloyd. This win put the USA in the driver's seat in terms of winning their group and guaranteed them a place in the knockout round.

The USWNT faces Colombia on Tuesday in a game that might not even mean anything for the Americans.
