U.S. soccer fans often bring up the argument of “imagine how good the USMNT would be if all the best athletes played soccer instead of other sports.” Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. isn’t American, but he is a hell of an athlete, but he demonstrated that it might not translate to soccer. A Fernando Tatis Jr. soccer clip has gone viral, but not for the right reasons.
This is a wipeout and a half right here.

Tatis isn’t playing at the moment after a motorcycle accident in the Dominican Republic resulted in a broken left wrist. Thankfully his soccer crash landing was on his right wrist and not the broken one.
Padres fans weren’t too pleased seeing these shenanigans, but us American soccer fans loved every second and are begging for more.
Perhaps Tatis was inspired to play due to the new San Diego Wave team in town. He even got to watch Alex Morgan and Abby Dahlkemper throw out the first pitch.

Stay healthy Tatis, but if you want to eat it a couple more times playing soccer, let us know.
