The growth of the beautiful game in the United States is no longer a question, it is a forgone conclusion.  It is a game that bridges cultures, ethnicities and generations. It is the national pastime that this country deserves, and the one it needs right now.

Surprisingly, a game that is so simple can teach you so much about life. For one, revel in the good times, for they are fleeting.

It is also a reminder that anything is possible. I cringed a little just typing that, but hey, I have witnessed Jamie Vardy carry Leicester City to the promised land at 5000-1 odds (that still seems generous).

Finally, no matter what is going on in your life you always have your soccer. So grab a beer, grab a friend, and most importantly, follow along with us at The18- where soccer lives.
