Messi Is Always Training. Even When He Doesn't Have A Soccer Ball.

Until now, the footballing superstar most associated with oranges (and we are talking about the fruit here, not the Dutch) has been Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who once said of Norwegian former footballer John Carew, "What carew does with a football, I can do with an orange."

But that's the past. Carew is retired now, and it's been years since Zlatan has said anything controversial regarding/involving an orange. There's a new sheriff in town, orange-wise. And his name is Lionel Messi.

Messi, those are for preventing scurvy, not for impromptu (at least we are led to believe this event was un-prompted, although we have other theories regarding the matter that don't merit expanding upon here) games of keepy-uppy.

Messi is so good at soccer, we will forgive his breach of "don't play with your food" etiquette and just enjoy the moment. He doesn't do anything particularly otherworldly with the orange but he is, after all, using an orange instead of a soccer ball.
