2026 World Cup ticket prices: ‘Starting at around $60,' reports suggest

UPDATE: FIFA announced on Wednesday that starting prices for group stage tickets will be $60. It was also announced that the most expensive ticket for the final will be priced at $6,730.

It's important to note that FIFA will be implementing dynamic pricing, meaning the prices could change based on demand.

Alright, which one of you rubbed a genie lamp?

2026 FIFA World Cup ticket sales are around the corner and despite early speculation that next summer's tournament would become the most expensive ever due to dynamic pricing, recent reporting suggests fans will have more affordable options than expected.

According to KSHB 41 News, single-match tickets are expected to begin below $100 (plus taxes and fees) with some seats in early rounds or less prominent venues likely priced well under that mark.

This contradicts widespread fears that dynamic, demand-based pricing would push costs out of reach for everyday supporters, and indicates that FIFA intends to keep the same accessible pricing as previous World Cup tournaments.

The ticketing strategy stands in sharp contrast to what unfolded during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the U.S. Early ticket prices for marquee matches, including the final, soared to as high as $2,200 under a dynamic pricing model.

As fan interest failed to meet expectations for the Club World Cup, FIFA was forced to slash prices dramatically in the days leading up to games, with the opening match between Inter Miami and Al Ahly seeing tickets reduced by 84 percent (from $349 down to about $55) despite the typical sought-after appearance of Lionel Messi.

Tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will go on sale in phases beginning with a Visa-exclusive presale draw this September.
