The jump from college soccer to the professional level is a steep challenge few players are capable of surmounting. 23-year-old aspiring defensive talent Femi Awodesu is a prime example of a determined player looking to rise his way to the top.

Awodesu is a star defender from Philadelphia who excelled in his four years at Penn State. He dominated in his final seasons in 2022 and 2023 being named the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year and one of the best in the college landscape.

A day in the life with Femi

@femiawodesu Every detail at the professional stage is a chance to get better, especially when it comes to fueling me to perform at the next level. That’s why I incorporate peanuts and peanut butter in my day-to-day life, because peanuts have more protein than any nut (7g per serving), containing more than 30 essential vitamins and minerals, and are a good source of fiber and good fats. @the18soccer @nationalpeanutboard #PeanutsUnite #peanuts #peanutbutter #soccer #the18soccer #dayinthelife #sponsored ♬ Storytelling - Adriel

One key area professional soccer players focus on is nutrition. The fuel they put into their bodies is crucial to their success on the field and recovery off it. Awodesu’s diet consists of a variety of proteins, fruits, vegetables, and plenty of water throughout his day.

Peanuts are a consistent theme in his eating habits as they provide him and athletes everywhere with the necessary energy for intense workouts. Peanuts have more protein than any nut (7g per serving), containing more than 30 essential vitamins and minerals, and are a good source of fiber and good fats.
