After the incident a few weeks back in which Chelsea fans chanted "we're racist" while blocking a black man from the Paris Métro, it was nice to receive some good news in the world of football fanatics.
Here's what happened: Timo Baumgartl, an 18-year-old Stuttgart defender, made a horrible mistake that handed Borussia Dortmund the deciding goal in a 3-2 victory. Ouch.
However, what happened next will restore a little of your faith in humanity. Instead of heaping abuse on the poor lad when he walked off the pitch, Stuttgart fans made sure Baumgartl knew how much he was appreciated at the club, and they consoled him after his ghastly mistake. This kind of behavior, while not unheard of, is not exactly prevalent in football, so it was a nice thing to see. It certainly made our day better:
