Paul Pogba Is Finally, FINALLY, A Manchester United Player

Alright, that's it. Nothing to see here. Go back to your daily lives. Paul Pogba will be a Manchester United player. It's finally over.

Before the official announcement, Manchester United all but confirmed it with these overly dramatic videos on their Twitter account.

His agent, Mino Raiola, also got in on the action with this not-so-cleverly worded tweet.

Manchester United then finally released a statement on their official site in which Pogba said:

“I am delighted to rejoin United. It has always been a club with a special place in my heart and I am really looking forward to working with José Mourinho. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Juventus and have some fantastic memories of a great club with players that I count as friends. But I feel the time is right to go back to Old Trafford. I always enjoyed playing in front of the fans and can’t wait to make my contribution to the team. This is the right club for me to achieve everything I hope to in the game.”

The action started early Monday morning, as the Manchester Airport sent out a tweet with a picture of a plane that was supposedly carrying Paul Pogba, who arrived in Manchester for his medical.

Apparently he passed it.

Pogba, as everybody knows by now, left for Juventus in contentious circumstances under Sir Alex Ferguson in 2012, citing a lack of opportunities at Manchester United. Since then, he's become one of the most exciting players in the world and has helped lead Juventus to four straight Scudettos.

Whether he can justify his world record £89 million transfer fee, well, that's another thing entirely.
