Unfortunately - for Bale, as well as for anyone with eyes and a pulse - he missed the equalizer by mere inches. As a result, the Galacticos lost 1-0 to Athletic Bilbao and relinquished the lead to Barcelona by a point in the table. Still, this might be one of the most memorable strikes we'll see all season.
