Andres Guardado Continues to Shine And Hector Moreno Scored Twice For PSV

Hector Moreno scored his first double for PSV Eindhoven, a week after scoring against Feyenoord in the Dutch league. Demonstrating incredible form, Moreno has turned a lot around ever since he signed for the Dutch champions. He couldn’t have done it without his fellow El Tri teammate, Andres Guardado pulling the strings from midfield.

PSV had been down 1-0 after Jari Oosterwijk scored for Twente in the 8th minute. It took less than 25 minutes in the first half for PSV to come back, with Hector Moreno scoring both goals. Putting PSV up 2-1 before Luciano Narsingh added another to leave PSV up 3-1 at the end of the first half. Both of Moreno’s goals came from set-pieces, and their orchestrator? Of course it was Guardado. Guardado was on fire in the first half, notching three assists.

Chinedu Ede would go on to score another consolation goal for Twente and Florian Jozefzoon would add another for the Dutch Champions.

The win leaves PSV in second place with 44 points after 19 games, three points from catching up to table-toppers Ajax. Both El Tri stars have been showing great form for PSV and hopefully that form continues in 2016. Both players have been consistently showing great form in Europe and remain some of the best El Tri exports, especially Guardado.

Will Hector Moreno continue his goal scoring feats in their next match? And will Guardado continue to show up for his team with great performances from midfield?

Don’t miss their next match against De Graafschap on Saturday, January 30th.
