Inter Miami get favorable Club World Cup group, Seattle Sounders given Group of Death

Premier League champions Manchester City were drawn on Thursday with Juventus, Wydad AC and Al Ain in Group G for next year's FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

Lionel Messi and Major League Soccer's Inter Miami are in Group A and will face Al Ahly in the opening match of the expanded 32-team tournament before games against Porto and Palmeiras.

PARIS — Paris Saint-Germain will not face disciplinary proceedings after their fans unfurled a 'Free Palestine' banner before kick-off in Wednesday's Champions League game at home to Atletico Madrid, European soccer's governing body UEFA said.

The 50x20-meter banner was displayed in the Auteuil Kop of the Parc des Princes, prompting France's Interior minister Bruno Retailleau to criticize the Qatar-owned club.

USWNT’s Korbin Albert and Eva Gaetino lift Coupe de France with PSG

Rising United States women’s national team players Korbin Albert and Eva Gaetino lifted their first silverware at the club level on Saturday as Paris Saint-Germain defeated Fleury 1-0 in the Coupe de France.

Both American players were in PSG’s starting lineup with Gaetino, 21, playing the full 90 minutes and Albert, 20, featuring for 64 minutes.

Dutch national team legend Lieke Martens came on for Albert and ended up scoring the game-winning goal in the 73rd minute despite PSG going down a player in the 66th minute.

DORTMUND — Borussia Dortmund's Niclas Füullkrug fired in a first-half goal to seal a 1-0 victory over visitors Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League semi-final first leg on Wednesday.

Nico Schlotterbeck floated a pass into Füllkrug's path and the Germany forward controlled the ball with a perfect first touch before drilling a low shot past keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in the 36th minute.
