Why Joe Hart's Torino Move Is Good For England

I have a theory as to one reason (of many) the England National Team tends to underperform in major tournaments: the players all play in the same league. Every England international plays in the Premier League. One might argue this breeds familiarity and is therefore good for the national team, but I think it leads to a lack of stylistic variety in the team and makes the payer pool stagnant. It's basically like inbreeding, is what I'm saying.

The USMNT’s most unlikely hero? Cristian Roldan makes case for 2026 World Cup roster inclusion

The United States men’s national team roster for the 2026 World Cup is a true mystery just eight months away from the start of the tournament. Cristian Roldan threw another curveball into the plan with an impressive performance in the midfield during the USMNT’s 2-1 friendly win vs. Australia on Tuesday.

It’s no secret that the 30-year-old Seattle Sounders midfielder has his fair share of critics among the U.S. fanbase. Roldan has often been a metaphorical punching bag for fans during his limited appearances for the national team over the past few years.

U.S. men’s national team forward, Alejandro Zendejas, delivered a performance to remember on Saturday night, as Club América dismantled rivals Pumas UNAM 4-1 in a fiery Clásico Capitalino at the Estadio Azulcrema.

Lamine Yamal’s father calls 2025 Ballon d’Or ‘biggest moral damage done to a human being’

Ousmane Dembélé winning the 2025 Ballon d’Or didn’t sit right with everyone with the father of runner-up Lamine Yamal being one of the most vocal.

Mounir Nasraou, Yamal’s father, was irate that his 18-year-old son didn’t become the award’s youngest winner in history on Monday. Nasraou went as far as to say that Yamal not winning the award was incredibly disrespectful.

Nasraou didn’t want to say that Dembélé’s triumph was a robbery, but he may as well have said it with his fiery tirade about the 2025 award.

Cristiano Ronaldo earns ‘Best of All Time’ award from Liga Portugal

Cristiano Ronaldo has a new piece of silverware to add to his gargantuan trophy cabinet as Liga Portugal named him the “Best of All Time” on Wednesday.

The GOAT debate between Ronaldo and Lionel Messi continues to rage on as the two superstars show no signs of slowing, however Liga Portugal have made their decision on the greatest.

Ronaldo’s home country unsurprisingly backed their greatest-ever play and highest international goal scorer in history as the “Best of All Time.”

Will Luis Suárez face suspension for spitting incident? MLS must stand strong

Inter Miami striker Luis Suárez has committed a heinous act once again in his notorious career, this time spitting on a Seattle Sounders staff member following the Leagues Cup final. Two days have passed and a big question remains unanswered: Will there be a Luis Suárez suspension?

Suárez, who has bitten three different opponents during his career, decided to keep the teeth in check after Sunday’s 3-0 Leagues Cup final defeat to the Seattle Sounders. Instead the 38-year-old opted to use his saliva as a weapon and spat on Sounders security staff member Gene Ramírez.

Opinion: José Mourinho needs to come to MLS after Fenerbahce sacking

Soccer managerial icon José Mourinho was sacked once again on Friday as Turkish club Fenerbahce parted ways with “the Special One” following the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League.

Mourinho has now been let go by Fenerbahce, Roma, Tottenham and Manchester United all in the previous seven years. Needless to say it seems that the 62-year-old manager has lost some of his flair in Europe.

Opinion: The USMNT are officially in trouble for 2026 World Cup following Sept. roster reveal

Ladies and gentlemen, the United States men’s national team are beginning to seriously worry me. If the “worry scale” was similar to DEFCON then I’d say the USMNT are at DEFCON 3.

U.S. head coach Mauricio Pochettino shocked fans on Tuesday with a bizarre 22-man roster for two September friendlies. Big names like Weston McKennie, Johnny Cardoso, Antonee Robinson, Folarin Balogun, Yunus Musah and Gio Reyna were all left off the roster.

Robinson and Balogun are returning from injury, however the rest were simply left off the roster due to a coaching decision.

Marcus Rashford says United’s constant manager changes have left club in ‘no man’s land’

Manchester United's exiled forward Marcus Rashford has delivered a scathing assessment of the Premier League side's struggles, saying the club remains stuck in "no man's land" due to constantly changing coaches with different philosophies.

Rashford has not played for United since December after a fallout with coach Ruben Amorim, with the England international spending the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa before joining Barcelona on another loan deal last month.

Cristiano Ronaldo dismisses the Ballon d’Or as ‘fictional’ to him

Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo is disregarding the prestigious award these days with the Al Nassr star calling it “fictional.”

Ronaldo (and Lionel Messi) were left off the 30-man nominee list for a second straight year. The 2025 edition comprised almost entirely of players in Europe’s top five leagues including SEVEN players from Paris Saint-Germain.
