Fans that traveled to the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas, on Monday for a preseason fixture between Inter Miami and FC Dallas likely went to the game to see Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. The only goal they would see was from Jesús Ferreira assisted by Paul Arriola.

A night that was advertised with some of the world’s biggest names was beautifully stolen by two USMNT players. Incredible.

In the third minute of play Arriola and Ferreira silenced any Miami fans in attendance and gave the Dallas faithful a priceless moment.

Gregg Berhlater won’t be too pleased with his young USMNT side as they lost 1-0 to Slovenia on Saturday at Toyota Field in San Antonio, Texas.

With it not being a FIFA international window, both the U.S. and Slovenia fielded teams with little to no international experience. Seven of the USMNT’s 11 starters were making their international debuts.

Center back Miles Robinson was the only USMNT player who played and is currently in consideration for Berhalter’s “A-team.”

Inter Miami and Lionel Messi are going worldwide in 2024 with the preseason schedule taking the Herons to El Salvador, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong and who knows where else. The Inter Miami preseason travel will be intense.

The idea of Miami touring the world and fans getting to see one last Lionel Messi vs. Cristiano Ronaldo game is exciting on paper. When you start adding up the miles that the club will travel you start to feel a little bad for the Miami players.

Inter Miami 2024 preseason schedule

Christine Sinclair bid an emotional farewell to international soccer on Tuesday with one final match that brought an end to a superlative career in which she catapulted the Canadian national women's team from obscurity to Olympic champions.

The United States women’s national team ended the 2023 calendar year with a 2-1 comeback victory vs. China on Tuesday.

UPDATE: Inter Miami have released a statement that the reports of the club's participation in the Riyadh Season Cup is inaccurate.

Mia Fishel scored her first international goal in her hometown to spark the U.S. women's national team to a 3-0 victory in a friendly against Colombia in San Diego on Sunday.

Fishel, in her second appearance, put the Americans ahead in the 56th minute, and Lindsey Horan followed with another goal six minutes later for a 2-0 lead. Jaedyn Shaw, an 18-year-old forward who made her debut on Thursday, scored in the 83rd minute.

The goals came after Casey Murphy made two saves in the opening three minutes of the second half to preserve the scoreless match for the Americans.

Balogun scored his third goal for the USMNT Tuesday night and it's undoubtedly his best one.

The USMNT’s 4-0 victory over Ghana in their latest friendly from October’s international break was a great showing from Gregg Berhalter’s men, especially in the first half.

Gio Reyna was the star on Tuesday for the United States men’s national team as he bagged two goals during the 4-0 victory against Ghana. 

The friendly win was a great response to the USMNT’s disappointing 3-1 defeat vs. Germany on Sunday.

Reyna has hardly seen the field for his club side Borussia Dortmund this season but had two quality 45-minute cameos for the U.S. in the October international window.
