A long time ago, when people in Europe thought that their continent might actually be the entire world, explorers roamed the oceans and landed in Mexico. They eventually took over, which led to the westernized Mexico we see today. But now Mexico is fighting back. Miguel Layun, Chicharito and others are doing the unthinkable — taking over Europe.
Chicharito Hernandez did a number of things today. He scored in his fifth straight game (seven total during that stretch) for Bayer Leverkusen in all competitions. He set the CONCACAF record for career goals in the UEFA Champions league (12 so far).
Unfortunately for Hernandez, Bayer couldn't get a result against Roma, losing 3-2 despite Hernandez's goal.

The Mexico U-17 team took another step toward earning a third-straight trip to the U-17 World Cup final Monday by defeating Ecuador 2-0.
Claudio Zamudio's volley from the center of the box off of a corner in the 41st minute opened the scoring, and Bryan Salazar nailed a penalty in the 55th minute, after Jose Gurrola drew a foul, to put the game away. This is Mexico's third-straight trip o the semi-finals.

We should explain. Andres Moreno tips the scales at about 960 lbs., and is considered the most obese man in the world. He's not taken to kindly to that title, though, and is trying to lose weight.

Miguel Layun has impressed so far this year during his loan from Watford to Porto, so much that Porto have reportedly opened negotiations with Watford to acquire Layun on a permanent basis.
Chicharito has been going off lately. He had a brace in Bayer Leverkusen's draw against Roma in the Champions League last week, scored again in the Bundesliga this weekend, and now he's gone and done it again with a brace in Bayer's German Cup game.
Mexico's national team has a new commander in chief. After months of uncertainty and many possible candidates, FEMEXFUT decided to bet on a Colombian coach by the name of Juan Carlos Osorio, a decision that was questioned by all, fans and media that preferred to have a big star or, at least, a known character in the bench of their national team.
Chicharito's tenure at Bayer Leverkusen seems to be going well so far. He added two goals to his season tally and Leverkusen walked away with a point against Roma in the Champions League, thanks largely to the Chicharito brace. Chicharito's two goals put Bayer up 2-0, but Roma stormed back to go up 4-2. Then it was Bayer's turn to come back, tying the game up 4-4, where it ended.
