Inter Miami complete the signing of Sergio Busquets on a multiyear contract

Inter Miami have completed the signing of former Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets on a deal until 2025, the Major League Soccer side said on Sunday.

Busquets, 35, will be reunited with his friend and former teammate Lionel Messi after not renewing his contract at Barça following an 18-year stay.

The 2010 World Cup winner will join the squad in the coming days and will occupy a Designated Player slot, the club added.

Disembarking from their $15.5 million private jet, Lionel, Antonela, Thiago, Ciro and Mateo were recorded at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport on Tuesday afternoon, just hours after the official Lionel Messi presentation date and time was confirmed by Inter Miami.

This travel experience is nothing new for the Messi family as they've frequented Miami during the offseason. It hasn't been confirmed where they'll be living permanently, but for now the Messis will reside at the Porsche Design Tower in Sunny Isles Beach.
