España are European kings once again.

Spain put the cherry on top to an amazing tournament and defeated England 2-1 to become the Euro 2024 champions at the Olympiastadion stadium in Berlin on Sunday.

The first half between the European giants was filled with more controversial plays than goalscoring opportunities, with England’s Harry Kane and Spain’s Dani Olmo getting booked after two tough tackles that could’ve easily been sent for a VAR review.

The United States women’s national team defeated Mexico 1-0 on Saturday in a friendly ahead of the USWNT’s 2024 Olympics campaign. While the U.S. secured the victory, something they failed to do against Mexico in the W Gold Cup earlier this year, there’s still plenty of work to be done.

Finishing was perhaps the biggest issue for the USWNT on Saturday as they kept getting into promising positions in front of goal but couldn’t find the net. The U.S. recorded 17 shots, six on target and should've scored more than the one.

United States men’s national team and Chivas forward Cade Cowell scored his first goal of the new Liga MX Apertura against Tijuana in style on Friday. 

While Chivas lost the game 4-2, Cowell was one of the few positives from the defeat as he netted a great solo goal and added a beautiful assist.

With Chivas trailing 2-0 in the second half, Cowell halved the deficit in the 69th minute after slipping past three defenders and beating the goalkeeper.

A 90th minute Ollie Watkins goal vs Netherlands secured an incredible 2-1 victory for England on Wednesday to send the Three Lions to the Euro final.

England manager Gareth Southgate has received tidal waves of criticism for his tactics, substitutions and decisions during this Euros. He got it absolutely spot on in the semifinal when he substituted in Watkins for Harry Kane in the 81st minute.

EAST RUTHERFORD — Defending champions Argentina booked their place in the Copa America final after goals from Julian Alvarez and Lionel Messi gave them a 2-0 win over Canada in Tuesday's semi-final in New Jersey.

BERLIN — An own goal by Mert Muldur completed a dramatic comeback for the Netherlands on Saturday as they overcame a tenacious Turkey 2-1 to book a Euro 2024 semi-final meeting with England.

The defender bundled the ball into his own net in the 76th minute under pressure from Cody Gakpo as the Dutch bounced back from a poor first-half display to win a bruising clash and complete the final four line-up.

Canada booked their spot in the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024 semifinals after defeating Venezuela through a penalty shoot out in an intense match held at AT&T Stadium on Friday.

The Maples hit first in just the 13th minute of the game when Cyle Larin dribbled the ball all the way into the goal line, setting up Nashville SC’s Jacob Shaffelburg to put Canada ahead. American manager Jesse March was buzzing.

HAMBURG, Germany, July 5 (Reuters) - France defender Theo Hernandez struck the winning penalty in a 5-3 shootout win against Portugal to reach the semi-finals of Euro 2024 where they will meet Spain.

Joao Felix missed for Portugal during the shootout which came after the match finished 0-0 following extra time.
