3.5 billion people watched the Fifa World Cup in 2018, that's 51% of the global population. Soccer truly is the world's sport and it brings people together in a way that's totally unique. I'm not going to pretend that I'm anywhere near an avid fan - I've never even seen a full game! But I respect it and the world and culture that's developed around the sport greatly, and as an outsider I'm lucky to have the opportunity to get the glimpse into soccer fandom that The18 is allowing me.
That's one of my favorite things about working in the video field, you get to explore so many parts of the world you'd never see otherwise. Other than a love of the medium itself, this is what's led me to pursue a career in video.
