Neymar Scores A Potential Puskas Winner

Neymar continues his tear as he scores a unreal goal en route to a Barcelona victory vs Villarreal.

Lionel Messi hasn't played for Barcelona since September 26th. But in that time, Barcelona has rallied off a 7-1-1 record in all competitions, and it's thanks to the performances from Neymar and Luis Suarez. This past weekend illustrated just that, and it wasn't hard to see after watching Neymar's ridiculous goal to give Barcelona a 1-0 lead vs Villarreal. The comparisons of Neymar and Ronaldinho have long been going on in the soccer community, but this goal really showed that Neymar could be as special as the former Barcelona #10. The touch and the awareness Neymar shows through the entire goal is world class, and calling it that is honestly selling it short. It was remarkable. Check out these two goals by Neymar and Ronaldinho side by side:

Luis Suarez assisted on the goal and added a PK to the scoresheet as Neymar got his second goal later on in the match. Since the absence of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Suarez have combined to score 15 goals and 5 assists in the 6 La Liga matches. When playing with the best player on the planet, it's possible to lose sight of just how good the 'S' and the 'N' are in MSN. Neymar has always had expectations of being the next great one, and without Messi on the pitch, you can see that greatness evolving right before our eyes. Looking towards the future, should Messi actually leave Barcelona, the Blaugranes would be just fine depending on Neymar as the leader of the team, especially is Suarez sticks around. But in all likelihood, the three will stick together, which will just amount to more nightmares for the rest of La Liga and UCL.
