The Movie Trailer For New Pele Movie Looks Awesome

We've all seen ESPN 30 for 30's. If you haven't, then it's time for you to reevaluate your life and go watch The Two Escobars. But until you do that, you now know the directors of The Two Escobars are coming out with a movie surrounding arguably the greatest footballer to ever live; Pele. The life story of the Brazilian legend is a great one, surrounded by the inspiring rags to riches fairy tale. Growing up in poverty filled neighborhood in Sao Paulo, Brasil, Pele worked in a tea shop as a child and played football with anything other than a real ball. He went on to win Brasil 3 World Cups and scored over 1,000 goals in all competitions, official and unofficial. Considering the past productions directed by brothers Jeff and Michael Zimbalist, this one will be a can't miss.

ESPN reported today that Pele said there are only three greats in the modern footballing era. Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and maybe Neymar. I'd have to disagree with the notion. Pele is the classic example of an older player saying their generation was the greatest. It's a valid argument but a closed minded one. Drogba, Henry, Gerrard, Buffon, Suarez, Iniesta, Xavi and Ballack are all greats that are either still playing, or played in the last 10 years. I'll disagree with Pele on that point, but I'll sure as hell see the movie on him.
