Major League Soccer and Liga MX have been looking for a way to collaborate for quite some time, and it looks like that moment has finally come.
The two leagues announced a strategic partnership Tuesday that includes the "Campeones Cup" between the MLS Cup winners and the Liga MX Campeon de Campeones, the winner of the Apertura vs. the winner of the Clausura.
This year's edition will be played on September 19th in Toronto, and will pit Toronto FC against either Tigres or whoever wins the Clausura.
