The second day of the Round of 16 pits the host nation against a strong Spanish side and Croatia trying to show they are for real against Denmark.
Here are the picks from Connor Fleming (@conmanfleming), Bryce Badwan (@bbadss) and Travis Yoesting (@travisyoesting).
World Cup Predictions
Spain vs Russia
Connor: Spain - Russia's performed well above expectations and it's great that the host nation gets another day to party, but this is the end of the road for them. If you want to see just how good the Spanish national team is, this should be an exhibition.
Bryce: Spain - Unless Putin has some serious tricks up his sleeve, then Spain should roll in this. Russia looked helpless against Uruguay. I think Morocco or Iran were more worthy opponents for Spain.
Travis: Spain - Russia had a nice run, but the host nation was found out against Uruguay. Spain will have no problem breaking down the Russians for an easy win.

Croatia vs Denmark
Connor: Croatia - I'm not entirely convinced that Croatia can handle the burden of expectation, but they should be OK in this one. Having said that, Christian Eriksen could very easily prove me wrong.
Bryce: Croatia - The new, trendy pick for the World Cup. I haven't seen anything from Denmark so the Croatians shouldn't have any problem here.
Travis: Croatia - Denmark has yet to hit its stride and its best player, Christian Eriksen, will be easily nullified by the Croatian midfield, which is far superior.
