Wolfsburg have had a rather embarrassing season, but on the last day it proved not to be disastrous. Wolfsburg will be in the first division next season after winning their promotion/relegation playoff against Eintracht Brauschweig 2-0 on aggregate.

Wolfsburg are a big club, and we fully expect them to spend a lot of money this summer and be better next season. That was too close for comfort, though.
