South African Footballer Reportedly Dropped After Farting At Coach

In a completely unsubstantiated but hilarious occurrence, we’ve caught wind of a recent development regarding South African international striker Tokelo Rantie.

According to Mninawa Ntloko of Sowetan Live, Rantie “pulled down his pants and let one rip in the direction of Bafana Bafana coach Ephraim "Shakes" Mashaba a few days ago in one of the most bizarre acts of obstinacy ever seen in the national team. The flatulence was so suffocating that the putrid stench continues to hover over the team like a dark cloud.”

That's poetry in motion. If the Nobel committee could've read that sentence before giving the literature award to Bob Dylan, they would've given it to Mninawa Ntloko.

South Africa played a World Cup qualifier against Burkina Faso on the 8th and a friendly against Ghana on the 11th, but Rantie had been cut from the squad on October 6th after not showing up for camp although he was in South Africa at the time.

According to Ntloko, the Bafana Bafana team manager, Barney Kujane, spent a large amount of time seeking out the player before he was ultimately dropped.

It’s unclear as to when Rantie could’ve possibly let it rip at his manager, and it’s unclear as to why anyone would ever want to do such a thing to the legend that is Ephraim “Shakes” Mashaba.

According to Ntloko, Rantie “spent most of his time in his old bed at home” rather than show up for camp. This all smells a bit fishy to me.
