Sam Kerr Decides Tour De France Will Start Early This Year And Gets On Her Bike

Australia international and Sky Blue FC forward Sam Kerr is on fire. With two goals against Portland Thorns a couple weeks ago, she became Sky Blue’s all-time leading scorer, she's currently ranked fourth in the league’s all-time goal scoring list and she's the third best scorer this season behind Marta and Megan Rapinoe. Kerr also picked up NWSL Player of the Month honors for May and Player of the Week honors for week nine.

If the 23-year-old isn’t familiar to you now, she will be after you see this beauty she scored last night against the Orlando Pride.

Sky Blue got things started in the second half with a counterattack that saw Maya Hayes go on a speedy run in Orlando’s half. Her slotted ball deflected and popped up in the box, at which point Sam Kerr went for the acrobatic overhead kick.

It might be classified as a bike with training wheels but still, crickey! Though the game ended 3-2 to Orlando, Kerr’s goal is what we’ll be remembering for a long time to come.
