Barcelona’s training session took a turn for the viral the other day. The team was practicing crossing drills when their 23-year-old left-back Martin Montoya went and did this:
That has to be the most impressive training video we have ever seen, and we don’t care what kind of goal or nutmeg you show us to refute it. The entire team could have tried to repeat that shot a hundred times each and we would be 100% comfortable in betting that a grand total of zero would have been successful. That being said, this is more likely than not Montoya’s 15 minutes of fame.
Let’s see him reproduce that kind of accuracy on the field, and then we’ll believe that this video is a precursor, and not an outlier.
